Sustainable Management of Water

Our team has recently completed the construction of a Rainwater Harvesting Pond, an environmentally conscious initiative aimed at maximizing the utilization of rainfall water, in our desert state. With this infrastructure in place, we now have the capacity to store and utilize rainfall water for an impressive duration of ~three months, catering to our everyday water requirements. This forward-thinking approach ensures a more sustainable water management system, reducing our reliance on ground/external water sources and promoting responsible water consumption practices.

The size of the pond is 65’(L) x 43’(W) x 8’(D) in which we have already managed to store about 2,37,000 litres of water of the total capacity of 6,30,000 litres.

Rainwater harvesting promotes sustainable water management, aligning with SDG Goal 6 by conserving water resources and enhancing access to clean water for all. By implementing rainwater harvesting systems, communities can mitigate water scarcity and promote equitable water distribution, contributing to SDG Goal 6’s vision of ensuring the availability and sustainable management of water.
